In an interview with Billboard, the singer shared that debut album is “is 1,000 percent coming out this year.” “[I’m] not thinking too much about outcomes,” she added.
Tems did not share the tracklist for the project, but she debuted the song ‘Not An Angel’ in December 2023 and spoke about the track to the publication.
“This song is about knowing your worth and moving on in life from anything holding you back,” she revealed.
While she has not released her debut album yet, she has previously collaborated with Drake on the track ‘Fountains’ for his ‘Certified Lover Boy’ album. She was also sampled by Future for his hit ‘Wait For U.’

Um I always thought Kelly Rowland was the more talented vocalist in Destiny’s Child, before Dream Girls. I feel Beyonce only came into her own vocally after she pushed herself doing Listen, which is why she is able to do songs like Love on Top effortlessly that leave even the most talented gospel greats breathless.
Tems sounds like somebody mocking singing. It’s this nasal, mouth not completely open oddity that is not pleasing to my ears. Seeing as I live for Sevyn and KeKe Palmer, who are not atop any music chart nor considered vocal greats, colorism has nothing to do with it.
Tems’ “voice” is not my cup of tea. Much like how Macy Gray’s voice isn’t, nor T-Boz from TLC’s. I will not like every voice and this is an entertainment/gossip blog.
And the fact that you’re probably Clarkson who has said the most vilest, misogynistic, colorist comments on this blog is why I am so baffled. Saying somebody can’t sing..is somehow colorist?
